Piano, Voice & Guitar
Miriam Morales has been playing the piano for over 25 years and enjoys playing other instruments as well. Miriam started studying piano with Rebekah Branham at an early age who saw a deep love of music in Miriam and recommended she study further.
She attended W. E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy in middle school and continued on to become a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. During this time she studied classical piano under the direction of Eva Flowers, Gabriel Sanchez and jazz piano from Kent Ellingson & Roger Boykin.
She holds a Bachelor of Music Media with an emphasis in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Arlington. Miriam also holds a Masters Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Biblical and Theological Studies where she also enjoyed classes in the Media Arts & Worship department.
Miriam has been teaching music for 10 years in both group and one-on-one settings. She has taught for multiple music studios and non-profit organizations in the DFW area including the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas, Big Thought, Junior Players and Arts Net.
She has served as the pianist for several churches in the DFW area and continues to perform for weddings, corporate events and private parties. She enjoys writing worship songs and playing solo jazz piano and singing.
Currently she is the Executive Director for Music with Miriam, an academy which has equipped over 200 students to play music they truly enjoy. She believes that anyone can become a lifelong musician regardless of their profession.
Voice & piANO
Sara has been singing for most of her life and teaching in formal music education for over 6 years. She is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and received her Bachelors of Music Education at The University of Texas in Arlington.
She is an alumn of the Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas and the Downbeat Award winning BTW Latin Jazz Ensemble. She has studied under the direction of Dr. David Grogan and Dr. Jennifer Ciobanu. She is an active member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Choir and has performed at the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Cathedral Shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe as well as the Texas Music Educators Association and American Choral Directors Association conferences. She frequently performs for weddings and private events in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
She has served as the Music and Drama Director at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic School in Dallas as well as the Choir Director at Daniel Intermediate School in the Duncanville Independent School District. She currently teaches privately for Music with Miriam where she loves working with beginner piano students and coaching
intermediate to advanced vocal students.
Jihoon Choi has been playing the piano since he was 7 years old. He was born in South Korea, but lived in the Philippines for most of his life. He was raised as a “Third-Culture-Kid” and he is grateful to have a diverse background. He currently studies piano with Prof. Carol Leone at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.
Jihoon won third place for outstanding performance at Georgia Music Teacher Association competition. He also got an honorable mention for the 2019 MTNA state competition in Georgia. Jihoon is also a winner in several national and local prizes in the Philippines and in South Korea competitions, including first prize in Seoul Music Highschool Competition, first prize in the International Culture Art Education Committee Competition, third place in Eumaksekye Music Contest, and third in 2018 PTGP Piano Competition.
He has performed throughout the Philippines, South Korea, and the United States. He has also participated in the 2015 Colburn Young Artist Academy Piano Festival, 2017 Music Alps International Festival and 2019 Texas State International Piano Festival, playing in masterclasses for the likes of Alan Chow, Daniel Pollack, Alessio Bax, Gwyneth Chen, Ory Shihor, David Korevaar, and Marina Lomazov.
He loves to work with kids and enjoys sharing all of his experience through teaching at Music with Miriam. Although his focus is classical training, he also has experience in gospel and pop music. While pursuing music, Jihoon is pursuing a double major in Business Management at the Cox School of Business.
piANO, guitar & Voice
Christy has had a passion for music and people for as long as she can remember. Her love for singing led her to Ithaca College to study vocal performance for two years before transferring to the University of Nebraska at Omaha, ultimately majoring in Multidisciplinary Studies featuring American Sign Language, Education, and Psychology. She is currently attending Dallas Theological Seminary and will be graduating with her Masters Degree in Media Arts and Worship in May 2021.
Christy loves all genres of music with personal favorites in musical theater and worship music. She is honored to be a part of Music with Miriam teaching beginning piano and voice. Her heart is to help all students fall in love with music and she can’t wait to me you.
piANO & Violin
nne-Claire’s love for music started at a very young age. She grew up in a family of musicians and has been playing the piano since she was 6 years old. She played piano and violin at various school, church, and community events and weddings during high school. She went on to double major in music and psychology at Auburn University. She has studied classical piano under Dr. Jeremy Samolesky, functional piano under Dr. Joshua Pifer, and classical violin under Dr. Eugenia Cleary.
During her senior year of college, she interned at Auburn Community Church in worship leadership. Here, Anne-Claire’s love for playing piano and leading worship grew, and this led her to pursue a Masters in Media Arts and Worship at Dallas Theological Seminary. She enjoys songwriting and is currently working on her first worship album.
Anne-Claire desires to cultivate a love for music that will stay with students for a lifetime and be an encouragement for them to pursue their musical goals. She is thrilled to teach with Music with Miriam!
piANO & trumpet
Heidi has 8 years of experience teaching piano students. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of the Arts in English and has always enjoyed sharing music with others. She studied piano with Elma Boehme, Keeli Eborn, and Marge Knutti and served as mission-wide pianist for the Alabama Birmingham Mission. She studied organ technique with Jenya Tyltina and served as Congregational Organist at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kentucky, Utah, and Texas, as well as accompanying for special events.
She worked as a Piano Instructor at The Lexington School—a premier private school in Kentucky—in their innovative Applied Music Program where she taught both individual and group lessons, as well as students with unique educational needs at The Learning Center. She accompanied violin and trumpet finalists for Concerto Competitions and played for groups such as the Kentucky Breeder’s Cup Board of Directors.
She plays piano, organ, and trumpet and is enjoys playing live ballet accompaniment for the Royal Academy of Dance. She loves getting to know the learning style of each student, finding the best balance to inspire and challenge them, and seeing the confidence and joy that musical skills give children and adults.
piANO, guitar & Voice
Gabrielle Wolsfeld grew up surrounded by music where her mother was her first piano teacher at age four, which has instilled an even greater joy for teaching. She has fond memories of playing duets together with her mother and singing at the piano. She has been playing piano for over 25 years and also plays guitar and sings. Her versatility as a pianist in playing many genres is what has equipped her to be a lifelong musician.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of Texas at Arlington, and went on to obtain her teaching certificate in order to teach elementary school. She also holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and currently serves on the worship team at City Church International.
Gabrielle has experience teaching students in all grades and levels in academic and musical settings. Her passion is to see students using and enjoying the gift of music to bless others.
Gabrielle is married to Adam and they have four children, Samuel, Asher, Silas and Summer.
